Help with build pls (Mallyx)
I am doing the mallyx quest and have only mallyx himself left. I am a primary ranger i.e. I have no spots in meta so was thinking of joining a random pug. I noticed that quite a lot of rangers in those pugs still use ursan so I'm trying to make a build with it too (though if somebody has better suggestions they are very welcome - I'm a total noob in the doa areas). The build I have set up is:
Ursan
Splinter
Volley
Technobabble
Lightbringer's gaze
Needling shot
Gaze of fury
Flesh of my flesh
However, when I went to test it in an easy area (snowmans dungeon, HM) to get used to it (switched lightbringer's and gaze of fury for other skills, ofc), it was a total fail. I kept dieing all the time, as ursan or not, splinter+volley was slow to fire and low damage input. So now I'm looking for some guru wisdom If anybody got any kind of suggestions it would be nice.

1. we need to see your hero bars cuz its not like you are soloing him
2. you can't bring henchies so don't know why you are testing in a place you can bring them.
3. snowman aren't even close to titans and DoA foes so its kind of a waste.

Bring a friend, run the regular 2 man hero build with paras and rits if it is that hard.
You'll end up bringing SY!

If you have no one else, you'll have to coordinate a team that doesn't amplify mallyx, enchants etc.

1. I was planning to do it with a pug not with heroes no points in posting their bars.
2. 3. It was just a place to get used to the new build, chosen because it was an easy area and I'm maxing deldrimor points. It's true that those are the very different areas but I if a build is decent against mallyx, I would presume it won't be such a fail in snowmans (and, compared to other builds I ran there, it was).

Then improvise...you can upkeep SY and output damage like that warr, not as much but almost. And you can find a friend that can also help with SY.
And most pugs compared to unruned heroes don't differ much.

Actually, I have problems building adrenaline for SY with a bow, should I perhaps try tunning infuriating heat as my elite? Or should I switch for a melee weapon instead?

If your Alliance rank is low and you only have 4/5 seconds, opting for infuriating heat is an option, it will help the paras in the team, but enemies as well.
Melee on a ranger isn't a bad idea, but generally scythe is best option which kills SY.
Incendiary arrows and barrage should be able to keep it up at least half the time, where your partner can cover the other half as almost any physical prof,
